answering awards!

Hey daydreamers! Right now, I’m at camp! Today is my last day, and I should be coming home either today or tomorrow to answer all your comments, questions, emails, and check on your posts.

If you couldn’t tell already, this post is scheduled! I’m writing this on a rainy Friday morning, with lots of packing to do and a blog post to get up. I couldn’t really come up with anything that I could write in a short amount of time, so I decided I would finally get around to doing some awards!

I get tagged/nominated for awards a *lot*, but I honestly don’t love doing them? I love it when you guys nominate me and totally feel free to, but just know I might not get around to doing it unless I have absolutely nothing to post! I don’t really love to read tag posts either, but I’ll try to do my best to make this post as interesting and fun to read as possible! My goal is to tackle at least two awards in this post, and let’s get straight into it!

Thank you so much to Diamond for nominating me!

  • Put the award logo/image on your blog (I made my own, but you can use the original here)
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well (This award was created by Okoto Enigmas.)
  • Answer the 5 questions you were asked
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself (if you want to)
  • Nominate 5 people (The original rules say 10-20, which I think is kind of a lot, but feel free to nominate as many people as you’d like!)
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blogs
  • Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question

Okay, whew, those rules were long! Not sure who Okoto Enigmas is, since that person’s account is suspended according to the link. Maybe that’s why it’s called the Mystery Blogger Award – no one knows who she/he is. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚

  • I’ve always been confused why these things are called awards.
  • I played the guitar for one year in third or fourth grade, but then I quit.
  • Llamas are my favorite animal.

Now, onto the questions!

What is one blogging goal you have not achieved? My biggest blogging goal is to make money off of my blog! This would happen from a sponsored post where the person pays you to promote their product. I have done sponsored giveaways recently, and I have a sponsored post coming up where I got some free stuff!

How has blogging changed you/your life? I think blogging has changed my life in so many different ways! I feel like I have a platform and a creative outlet, and it’s made me super responsible and I’ve learned how to stick to a schedule. I’ve also gotten super good with technology, improved a lot in writing, graphic design, and photography, and it gives me something meaningful to do with my free time!

Do you have any pen pals? If so, how many? I just made a new pen pal through one of my giveaways! I’m also pen pals with two other blogging people, one we kind of stopped writing and the other hasn’t written me back. I also write letters to my cousin and friends who live far!

What is your favorite non-fiction book? Idk if the Bible is really considered non-fiction, since it’s more of a writing, but probably the Bible! I really like self-help and memoir non-fiction books, but my two favorites have to be Kisses from Katie and the Maddie Diaries.

Have you ever eaten peanut butter on potato chips? What about chocolate on potato chips? Nope, peanut butter sounds disgusting but the chocolate one actually sounds good! I’ve had potato chips inside a PB&J sandwich before.

Are you wearing socks right now? Have you ever been out of the country? What was the last video or TV show you watched? What was the last movie you saw? Who was the last person you FaceTimed or called?

Thank you to Diya for nominating m! You can check out her blog here.

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you for this award.
  • Make sure to list the rules and post a photo of the award logo. (I made my own, but you can use the original here)
  • Answer the 11 questions that your nominator asked you.
  • Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them your own 11 questions.
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on one of their recent posts.

What is your favorite food and why? Anything from Chick-fil-A or Starbucks, my two favorite resturaunts!

What inspired you to start blogging? A LEGO box. Yup, a LEGO box. Well, not really the box – there was a link on it to an American Girl LEGO game where you could post stories about your LEGO toy, and a girl left her American Girl Doll blog linked on there and I was obsessed with it! Soon after, I started my own American Girl blog!

If you could travel to any place in the world, what would it be? There are so many places I want to go! I would go to Bora Bora, or some sort of tropical island, but I also would love to go to a famous city like Paris or London or NYC.

If you become famous one day, what do you think it would be for? If I became famous, I think it would be from social media! When I’m older I really want to have an Instagram, and since I love blogging I think it would be pretty cool to be a famous social media influencer. I’d rather be famous for being a missionary or activist who sings/writes/dances/acts and has an online presence and is a Type 1 Diabetes advocate but I think that’s a lot to ask for. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Do you speak any languages other than English? Nope, but I try to use the Duolingo app every day to help me get ready for Spanish class, which I’m taking next year at school!

Who is your hero or inspiration? My mom, she inspires me a lot!

What would you change about yourself if you could? Okay, sheesh, this got deep fast! ๐Ÿ˜‚ There are, of course, things I wish I could change about myself. But God made me the way I am for a reason, and I’m perfect in God’s eyes, and that’s all that matters! So I wouldn’t change anything, even though I’d like to, I know God made me in his image!

What is your biggest fear? My “normal” fears are heights, losing everyone I love, and drowning, but the deap ocean, guns, outer space, and the unstoppable marching of time are weird things that freak me out.

What is your favorite childhood dish? Okay, I know this question is talking about food, but there was this one plate I painted at one of those ceramic places that I only let myself eat from on my birthday, but then I forgot about it.

What is your proudest accomplishment? I think maybe raising over $4,000 for Type 1 Diabetes!

Would you rather win the lottery or work at the perfect job? Why? If I won the lottery, then I could work at pretty much anywhere without having to worry about money, so I could be an author or dancer without having to worry about income! My perfect job would be a pediatric endocrinologist (doctor who treats the endocrine system, which includes diabetes), so I think I’d chose that!

Are you wearing socks right now? Have you ever been out of the country? What was the last video or TV show you watched? What was the last movie you saw? Who was the last person you FaceTimed or called? What inspired you to start blogging? What is your biggest fear? Would you rather be a gymnast or dancer? How many times have you flown on an airplane? What was the last dream you had that remember? What’s your favorite age you’ve been so far?

The first award asked me to nominate 5 people, and the second asked me to nominate 11. However, I’m going to nominate…everybody! Seriously, if you’re looking for a post idea or think the questions might be fun to answer, I nominate you to do these awards! You can even answer the questions in the comments if you don’t want to make a whole post. You can do whichever award you want, and don’t forget to leave the link to your post in the comments so I can see it!

Okay, that was only two awards but this post is already at 1,425 words! I hope you actually read some of that instead of just scrolling through (which I am definitely guilty of doing, tbh) and if you read, you enjoyed it! I’ll see you guys as soon as I’m back from camp!

What are your biggest fears? Any idea who this Okoto Egnimas dude is and why he’s so mysterious? Do you like how I did the graphics? Are any of my answers relatable?

PS If you would like to use my graphics (the ones that say “I Nominate…” and stuff like that) please give credit! If you want me to do them in a different font or your blogs colors, let me know!

  1. I’ve actually read the original mystery blogger post that okoto enigmas wrote, (before the account was suspended ๐Ÿคฃ) and I read that “enigmas” means mystery. Congratulations on the awards BTW๐ŸŒธ

  2. Great job on the post! I enjoyed reading your answers! (I can never get around to doing tags, either. Something about them seems very foreboding . . .)
