Hey daydreamers! You guys love my routine/day in the life type of posts and I always have a TON of fun making them, so I decided to do an after-school routine now that school’s back! Also, thank y’all so much for all of your amazing post suggestions on last week’s post, I have sooo many ideas now and I’m really grateful for your help!
Normally I do routine posts as sort of a “vlog” where I take pictures and write down what I did throughout the day, but I decided it’d be easier to write what I typically do after school and add some pictures (and Bitmojis) with it. Let’s get right into it!

2:10 – When Spanish (my last class) is dismissed at 2:10, my best friend and I have a whole mini-routine for walking to the carpool area. XD We have to walk all the way from one end of the building to the other, so we walk together and drop by study hall to pick up our morning backpacks we left in there. We both stop by the restroom before we head downstairs to the carpool area where our moms pick us up. We’re not usually super duper fast (haha), but we’ve been better about not stopping to talk to people and can usually get from one side of the building to the other side and downstairs within five minutes!
2:15ish – I drive home from school with my mom. Sometimes we leave a LOT later if we end up talking to someone or we have somewhere to drop by or go to on the way home, but we typically get home by 2:45 at the earliest and 3:00 at the latest. I LOVE this part of my day because I get to tell my mom all about what I did that day and get out of school mode!

2:45-3:00 – I get all of my stuff out of the car, say hi to my sister, spend a little bit of time with my dog, and put all of my stuff away. Then, my other favorite part of the day: my after-school snack! I like to have a pumpkin spice muffin after school, but if we’re out, I’ll have some cucumber and ranch, carrots, or a granola bar. While I eat my snack, this is the time where I check my phone and watch one or two YouTube videos.
3:15 – If I’m not wearing something comfortable, I’ll change and maybe stretch a lil’ bit if I remember to. If it’s Friday, I have to do something for my Invisalign, so I’ll get that done before getting started on my homework. I usually do about 30-45 minutes of homework after school, so that way I can get a little out of the way so I’m not swamped on tommorow’s home day. (If you didn’t know, I go to a University Model school, so I attend school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and I have assignments to complete at home on Tuesday, Thursday, and over the weekend.)

4:00 – If I’ve gotten homework out of the way before I have to get ready for dance, this is my free time! This is when I mostly work on my blog, do chores, or do nothing. Most of the time I get home too late or do other stuff to have free time, so Fridays are really nice since I have an extra hour! (I’ll explain that in a sec!)
4:30 – Okay, this is the part where my routine changes from day to day. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have dance from 5:30 to 7:45 and 7:00, so I have to start getting ready at 4:30 so I can have my hair done, leotard and tights on, and dinner eaten by 5:10. If it’s Friday, I have all the way until 5:30 to get ready for dance since it starts on 6:30, so I get a whole hour of extra free time!

5:10 – By now I’ve gotten all ready for dance, so I either wait for my ride to pick me up or my mom and I go pick up the person I carpool with. Then it’s off to ballet!
7:00-8:00 – Depending on the day, I’ll get back from ballet from anywhere between 7:00 to 8:00. I say hi to my dog again, put my stuff up, and then I’ll eat ice cream with my family while we watch one of our shows (sometimes a movie, but not normally on school nights) and then I take a nice, relaxing shower to get myself ready for bed.
9:00-9:30 – I have a pretty set nighttime routine, and it could probably make it’s own post if I went into a lot of detail, but for now I’ll just give you a quick rundown! For a little bit, I talk to my sister and hang out in my room. At about 9:30, she has to go into her room and read, and I get started on my quiet time.

9:30-10:00 – I’ve always tried to read my Bible every night, but recently I’ve been incorporating more things into my nightly quiet time and I think it’s really bringing me closer to God! First I do my daily Bible reading – right now I’m working on 1 Kings, Luke, Phillipians, and Psalms a few sections at a time from the plan at the back of my old Message Bible, and I read in my NLT Reflections Journaling Bible. I LOVE having the margins in this Bible to journal, take notes, and doodle! I like to underline and highlight things as I read, too. Next I’ll go over my memory verses, and finish it off with an entry in my prayer journal I started the other day.
10:00-10:45 – After my quiet time, I read a book until 10:45. Right now, I’m reading Flashback from the Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger, and I’m obsessed with the series! Is it just me, or do Dex and Biana totally belong together? 10:45 is kinda a sweet spot for me – anytime earlier is too early and anytime later is too late.

10:45 – Goodnight!

I LOVED making this post! Ironically, I did it after school when I should’ve been getting started on homework, but TGIF so I get some extra time to work on it! XD Also, what did y’all think of the Bitmojis? They’re fun, but I don’t know if I should incorporate them into future posts or not. 🙂
One more thing: I’m getting new pointe shoes this afternoon and I’m planning to make a post about it! I was thinking about doing a mini Q&A in the post about pointe shoes and also ballet in general. If you want to, make sure to leave your pointe- and ballet-related questions down below in the comments! Thanks again for the lovely post ideas last week! Love you guys and I’ll see ya soon, daydreamers!
What does your after-school routine look like? Is your school online, in-person, or homeschool? What kind of school do you go to? Have you ever had a pumpkin spice muffin, and if so, aren’t they the greatest things ever? What kinds of after-school sports or activities do you do, and how has that changed since COVID? What are your ballet- and pointe-related questions for an upcoming post?

This post was so cool! I liked seeing your afternoon routine. I think you could use bitmojis more if you want to, but that’s up to you. It really just depends on what sort of thing you want to do. I feel like bitmojis aren’t very professional, but they have more of a friendly conversational style. So, it really just depends on what you want.
Ooh, I just read Flashback! I really want to read Legacy now, but I think I’m going to wait until October.
Ballet questions – What outfit that you’ve worn if your favorite? What are your best ballet tips? Tell us about your favorite dance memory. (I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, so feel free to ignore it if it isn’t…)

Thanks! Thanks for the advice, I think I’ll only do them occasionally, but they worked for this post since I didn’t have many pictures for it. Fun! I finished Flashback a few days ago and I desperately need to read Legacy ASAP since that cliffhanger XD
No, those are perfect! Thank you for the questions! *insert hug emoji since I’m on a laptop lol*

Maybe Bitmojis every once in a while.
Is ballet expensive? How much were the pointe shoes? I hear they can be up to,like $90, but I’m not sure that’s true.

I think so too.
Thanks for the questions! I can’t wait to answer them 😉

Nice post! About Bitmojis, I think a lot people use them, they are kind of nice, but like Diamond said, it makes it less professional.
I think every now and then, but not every post.

Pumpkin muffins are so delicious I had to stop making them because it was getting to the point where I subsisted entirely upon sugary orange baked goods xD
What’s your favorite leotard style?

Whew! It sounds like you have quite a full routine! All my college classes are online right now (thankfully, I’m a hardcore introvert, lol XD).

Yup, and I either rigidly stick to it or completely forget about it XD Fun! I could definitely not survive that, MBTI claims I’m 99% extroverted and I wholeheartedly agree. XD

Your night routine is so productive! literally, I am super productive during the day, but after school, I am extremely lazy. I want to get into an after school routine, or at least a night routine, but I’m not really quite sure what to do.
– Ballet questions
1. What does it feel like when you wear pointe shoes?
2. How long have you been doing ballet?

Thanks! I’m kinda forced to be since otherwise, I’d never get anything done. XD
Would you want to see a post with some tips on how to get into a productive afterschool/night/morning routine? I might do one if you’re interested!
Thanks for the awesome questions!
