Hey daydreamers! I’ve missed y’all! I ended up taking a much-needed break from blogging last week because…it was my 13th birthday! I had the best birthday ever, starting with a beautiful balloon arch made by my parents, iced coffee and chicken minis from Chick-Fil-A (YUM), followed by an amazing birthday party with a few of my close friends! We stunted, did spa stuff and makeovers, and watched a really sad movie lol. It was such a great day and I’m so grateful for my parents and amazing friends!! 🤗 What have you been up to this week?

As you could tell from the title, it’s finally time for the long-awaited ROOM TOUR!! I’m so excited for this and I love reading these types of posts, so I hope you guys will too! Since my birthday is over and my room is pretty finished, I decided to finally show you guys the “after” of my room makeover. I know that not everyone gets to do this and I feel really lucky and grateful for this room! (Also, isn’t it cool that my dream room post from awhile back is kinda my room now??)

Okay, without further ado, let’s get into the room tour! (Also, any white blobs are covering up personal information, just FYI.)

Here’s a slideshow thing of what my room used to look like before (yikes, sorry about the quality and mess!). Notice the teal walls, messy bed, clutter everywhere, llama theme, and overall just not really my style anymore.

When you first walk up to my room, I have my “dead” pointe shoes hanging on a command hook. Since I can’t dance in them anymore since they’re too small and worn-out, I use them as a fun decoration.

Here’s a little peek inside! (Ignore the tag on my rug, we were still deciding if we would get a different one lol.) I can’t believe this is actually my room!

If you turn to the left, first you’ll see my bookshelf! I also have a pink mirror that my dad hung up next to my door. I got some new white quilted bins and reorganized my whole bookshelf! I also added some cute decor items all along the shelves with some mementos and more decor at the top.

On my bookshelf: yearbooks and KOTLC series (my favorite shelf!) Harry Potter books with a fun letter board over it, YA books, middle grade hardcovers plus my seashell collection, more middle grade plus a series I’m borrowing (sorry, this pic is blurry!), graphic novels plus a pointe shoe, “other” books, and all of my nonfiction plus the Book Thief with an amazing painting that my really talented friend made for me!

If you turn to the corner, you’ll see the door to my closet that has a stretching tool hung on it.

Then, one of my favorite parts: my desk!! We changed out the knobs to be a pretty gold color that matches the lamp, chair, and decor. (Ignore the plugs under it – still working on how to hide that!)

My mom got me this beautiful desk chair for my birthday and it’s so comfortable! It’s so soft to sit on, and the colors are amazing! I’m really obsessed with it and I love how it matches the lampshade. We also got this pretty lamp from At Home that has a USB port at the base, which is super nice! I love how it looks on the desk and especially how it matches the chair so well.

I got this pretty gold bin from the dollar store, and I use it to store my planner, journal, and whiteboard (it has Proverbs 31:25 written on it).

Next I have my laptop covered in stickers from Pura Vida, Redbubble, and my dance company!

I also have a gold-and-white polka dot storage thingy that has a bunch of secret compartments for storing desk supplies, which I think is super cool. XD I just put my diffuser on top of it, and then I have a gold pencil cup and a fake succulent from Target next to it.

Next to my desk, I just have a wall calendar I got from Half-Price Books at the beginning of the year. It’s really cute and has all these pretty floral hand-lettered quotes for each month!

In between my desk and nightstand, I just have a random basket I stole from our guest room (lol) in which I store books, magazines, notebooks, etc.

Next to that is my nightstand! (You can see me in the reflection, haha.) We actually had this nightstand in my dad’s office and it went perfectly with my new room! My mom found a gold trash can that I put underneath it.

On top, I have a lamp from Target that matches the gold on the other lamp (which I love!), my alarm clock, and some tissues. Also, can we appreciate the fact that this photo was taken at *exactly* 4:45?

Then, my favorite wall of the whole room! It just makes me so happy to look at the pretty fairy lights and how my curtains match the hanging chair! (Fun fact: They’re the same teal pom-pom curtains from the “before” slideshow, but my mom painstakingly removed each and every one of them with a seam ripper. Thanks mom!) I’m thinking about ordering another fairy light curtain thing to add to the other side so it’s more symmetrical.

And here’s my bed!! I love the new bedding so much! It’s the exact same bed I had before, just different pillows and a new cover. I’m pretty sure the bedding is from Bed, Bath & Beyond here. I bought the fairy lights with a gift card on Amazon here. I love, love, love my new bedding and I think it’s my favorite part of my new room! It definitely goes really well with the wall color and the fairy lights make reading in bed so relaxing.

Over here, I have my hanging chair! I bought this over quarantine from Amazon here using my own money (which I’m pretty proud of myself for, this thing was not cheap haha!) My friends got me the pretty fluffy pillow from Hobby Lobby and I have a little llama squish-mallow hanging out on it.

Next to it I put up some balloons leftover from my birthday!

Over here is my vanity! I have a random lamp I’ve always had over here, a shelf unit thing I turned into a vanity, a stool my sister got me, and a hamper from Target! (Ignore me in the picture, lol.)

I love the pretty circle gold mirror! The thingy on the left is a makeup mirror thing that lights up. I have a little charging station with a watch and wireless charger, plus a jewelry box, Alexa, and another clock on here.

Down on the shelves, I just have some makeup stuff and different random products, plus some notebooks on the bottom shelf.

Once again, I’m SO grateful for this room and I keep walking into it and having to stop and think, woah, this is MY ROOM!
