A Chill Morning In My Life! (Ft. Skincare Routine)

Hey daydreamers! When I was thinking of what to post this week, I remembered that I really enjoyed making my A Day in My Life: Winter Break Edition! post for Blogmas and I thought it would be fun to show you guys a morning in my life of a Thursday homework day!

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I go to school and take all my classes. Then on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the weekend, I have assignments to complete that are due the next school day. These days are called “satellite classroom days”, but it’s easier to just call them homework or home days. πŸ˜›

Today I’m going to show y’all what a typical home-day morning looks like when I don’t have a whole lot of homework. πŸ™‚ And if you like this post, don’t forget to check out my school morning routine! Let’s get right into it!

8:00 – I set my alarm for 18:15, but I woke up to my dog barking at 7:45 and got out of bed fifteen minutes later. the first thing I do when I wake up is open my curtains and blinds to let the light in.

8:08 – Next, I head into the bathroom to wash my face. I use this soft, cute little headband I got from a Secret Santa to pull my hair back. (It’s so cute!!)

First I wash my face using this Neutrogena milky cleanser.

Then, I use these really good blemish clearing pads that have witch hazel and salicylic acid in them.

This is a step that I literally added to my skincare routine last night, I used to just wash my face and occasionally use the blemish pads. I use this refreshing Bliss rose gold spray as a toner before moisturizing.

After that, I use a pump of moisturizer. Another thing I added last night, haha.

I got this WetBrush detangling comb which has been working super well. (It also clashes horribly with the background I’m using.)

8:24 – Then I make my bed. (Don’t these fairy lights look super cool in pictures? I got them from Amazon awhile ago and love them!)

8:37 – For breakfast, lately I’ve been having a toaster waffle or a bagel and cream cheese, but my mom got a really good Danish thing so I decided to have a slice of that. I also decided to attempt making my own eggs, which turned out weird-looking but okay. While I ate breakfast, I wrote out my to-do list for the day in my planner.

8:47 – I like to constantly have music playing in the background (or else I will go insane), so I put on my “morning hype” playlist full of super happy songs to get myself excited for the morning. I recommend It’s a Beautiful Day by Micheal Buble and New Day by Danny Gokey to get your morning started off right. πŸ™‚

8:52 – I got dressed for the day. Today I’m wearing these super comfortable distressed American Eagle jean shorts with a comfy cropped tee from Stitch Fix, and when I got cold I put on a pink sweatshirt.

9:00 – I get started with schoolwork around 9:00 and start off with reviewing for my science final.

9:07 – After finishing science really quickly, I move on to English.

9:40 – After English I move on to my Spanish homework, which ended up taking awhile.

10:40 – Next I studied for my math test tomorrow by writing out all the vocab words and going through the questions I missed on the quizzes.

11:30 – Finally done with schoolwork!! I changed into some athletic shorts and followed along to a stretching routine/tutorial on Youtube. I usually do Anna Mcnulty’s videos, but I’ve been trying out the channel HannahMartinRG and she has some great flexibility tutorials for dancers. The one I followed is supposed to help with higher extensions.

12:00 – I ate this cheese, meat, and crackers pack for lunch which was super filling!

I hope that y’all enjoyed this post! You can definitely see the difference from my school morning routine and home day morning routine – getting ready in 30 minutes versus an hour XD I think I’m a lot more motivated to get ready on school days so I don’t stall as much, and also on school days I don’t have time to do things like make my bed or write out a to-do list.

See ya next week! Have a great weekend!

THIS WEEK’S SHOUTOUT GOES TO Maith FROM Jovial pages! Thanks for commenting!

What does your morning routine look like? Do you use any of these skincare products? What skincare products do you like? Do you like the preset I used? I tried making one myself, so let me know how it turns out!

    1. Hi! Thank you! Oh, sorry about that! I copy and paste my outro from the last post, and I completely forgot to switch the link on the first part of it! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I guess I wasn’t very careful with this post, I had to go back and fix several typos.
Aw thank you so much! That is a huge compliment!! πŸ€— I always get really excited when I see a video from my favorite YouTuber or a post from one of my favorite blogs so that makes me really happy that my blog can bring some happiness to someone’s day! πŸ₯°

    1. Thanks! Haha! My dog has a terrible habit of placing himself by the window and barking at any little thing that passes by πŸ˜› So sometimes it wakes me up if he’s up early.
