Pack With Me!

Hey daydreamers! Today I had to pack and make a whole blog post, so I figured why not kill two birds with one stone and do both at the same time? 😛

I’m going to visit family for 4th of July, and we’ll be staying there for a few days. I figured it would be fun to show you guys what I’m packing, and I haven’t done one of these posts since camp last summer! When I first started this blog, one of the main categories I set up was travel. But that category hasn’t gotten very much use (especially since covid and everything!) Also, disclaimer, I’m totally an overpacker. I probably won’t need a lot of these things, but I like to bring it all just in case. 😉

Okay, let’s get to the post!

Before packing, I wrote down a list of everything I needed to bring. Some things I’m going to pack tomorrow, like toiletries, any makeup or skincare, bedding, and some clothes that are in the washing machine. 😉

I’m bringing two tote bags that have activities for the long car ride, and also books and things I use every night before bed.

I’m bringing friendship bracelet supplies, because I like to work on those in the car. I want to make a red-white-and-blue one for Independence Day!

I’m also bringing my laptop, since I’ll want to work on some blog things while we have some downtime.

I’m also bringing some books and magazines to read before bed and in the car! We went on vacation a few weeks ago and I only brought one book, and I almost finished it there. This time I’m bringing two, just in case I finish the first one. (Remember, I’m definitely an overpacker XD) I’m currently reading Run and Rising, the third book in the Shadow and Bone series by Leigh Bardugo, and I’m also bringing Divergent.

I’m also bringing my blogging notebook, which I use to outline my posts, brainstorm ideas, and make my monthly post schedules! And my planner, so I can fill out the habit tracker and write to-dos.

Then I have the numerous books and journals I use every night! XD First I write down my prayers in my prayer journal, and then I’ll read my devotion. I’m going through 100 Days to Brave by Annie F. Downs. After that I’ll read my Bible (I use the She Reads Truth Bible, and I love it!), and finally, write in my diary. 😛

I also packed my pencil case.

Next I packed two pairs of shoes, my tennis shoes and flip flops. I’ll wear my Vans on the way there.

Then I just packed some comfy shorts and super soft T-shirts to sleep in.

This is my 4th of July outfit! I’m going to wear my favorite jean shorts ever from American Eagle (they’re so soft and comfy, have super deep pockets and fit really well!), and my most patriotic shirt (haha).

I’m also going to wear this white tennis skirt and It’s a Girl Thing T-shirt.

This is one of my favorite shirts that I wear all the time! I’m going to wear this with jean shorts that were being washed when I took the pictures for this post 😉

I tie-dyed this shirt last summer and it turned out pretty good! I’m just going to wear it with Nike shorts for the last day of our trip.

I’m also packing some extra outfits.

I’m also packing 3 swimsuits, all of them are from Athleta. Oh, and this pair of sunglasses!

I think that’s it for this post! It’s not everything I’m packing – I’ll do the rest tomorrow. I hope this post was fun to read!

Also, I completely missed Diary of a Daydreamer’s blogaversiary! I started this blog 2 years ago, on June 28, 2019. This blog has come so far since then! Thank you guys so much for all your support, for reading my posts and taking the time to leave a comment!

Bye guys! Happy 4th of July!

this week’s shoutout goes to jasmine @ the writer of letters! Jasmine has an incredible blog, and thanks so much for commenting!
