Amber Talks Dance, Favorite Bible Verses, and More | The Emmie Show Ep. 4

Hey daydreamers! Welcome back to another episode of the Emmie Show! In case you’re new here, on the Emmie Show I interview different bloggers all about their blogging journey, advice, and other fun questions.

Today I’m going to be interviewing Amber from Dancing For The Holy One! I loved how this post turned out, and I’m excited for you to read it. We chatted all about dance, pointe, blogging, and more. My questions are in bold font and her answers are in regular. All of the photos in this post are from Amber’s photo gallery. Okay, let’s get to the post!

Emmie: Hi Amber! Super excited to have you on the blog! Could you please introduce yourself and tell us where everyone can find you?

Amber: Hey Emmie! Thanks for having me do this post with you! I’m excited too!!

E: What inspired you to start blogging? How long have you been blogging?

A: Hmm good questions. First off, I’ve been blogging for 6 months now! What inspired me to start blogging was the fact that I could use it to write down my thoughts, along with share about my ballet life. I feel like the Lord was just calling me to start it!

E: That’s great! How long have you been dancing, and how long have you been en pointe?

A: I have been dancing for 13 years now. And have been en pointe for almost 4 (though probably more like 3 because of covid and online classes 😂).

E: What’s your favorite thing about dance?

A: My favorite thing about dance is being able to use it to worship and show my love for Jesus Christ!

E: What’s your favorite dance memory?

A: Just performances in general, and then the Christian summer dance intensive that I just got back from!!

E: Fun! How would your friends describe you in 3 words?

A: Kind, fun, and loving!

E: What’s your favorite type of post to do? What’s your favorite post you’ve done?

A: I really love to write my Random Ramblings posts when I get inspiration for them! My favorite post would probably be this one!

E: Do you currently have any goals for your blog?

A: No, I believe in using my blog as a way to just reach more people with the good news of Christ, and how I worship Him!

E: I love that! What is your favorite book of the Bible, your favorite Bible verse, and why?

A: I really like the book of Mathew, John and Philippians. One of my favorite Bible verses / passages (because there are just so many good ones in the Bible lol) would be Mathew 10:27-31:

“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”‬‬

Why I like it so much is because it gives so much encouragement to us to be bold in our faith, and proclaim the Good News. It also reminds us just how much the Father loves us and cares for us!!

E: That’s an amazing verse!! Finally, what is your best advice for bloggers?

A: Probably that it’s ok to take breaks. It’s ok to not have inspiration, and ok to not write posts when you don’t have that inspiration! I think what makes a good blog, is posts that come from the writers heart and their life, when they feel called to write about it.
