what i’m wearing to summer camp! (packing for camp pt. 1)

Hey daydreamers! By this time next week, I’ll be at summer camp! I’m super excited and totally freaking out because it feels sooo soon and super far away at the same time. I was super scared that I wasnโ€™t going to get to go, but then it was going to still happen like normal! Unfortunately, they went and changed a lot of things to make it safer, like weโ€™re mainly going to stay with our cabin group and no specialties/theme nights (except Alpha vs. Omega & Mission Impossible)/or large groups, which is sad! Iโ€™m still grateful I get to go though and I’m super excited.

Today’s post is going to be the first half of a 2-part series, packing for camp! In this part, I’m going to be showing you all of the outfits that I’m planning to wear at camp. This’ll probably change by the time I actually go, but it gives a pretty good idea of what I’ll be wearing!

Heatless Overnight Beach Waves Tutorial!

Hey daydreamers! How has your week been? I’m super happy because I got to go swimming a lot and see my friends a few times! The beach is finally open, and we’re going to spend a day there on Monday and I’m super excited! I love the look of beach waves, and I think they look so summery and carefree and also just really cute.

I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately (if you want some inspiration, you can check out mine!) and I stumbled across this cool hair hack. I decided to give it a try, and I’m going to be showing you guys how to do it today! It looks adorable for pictures and video calls. Let’s get straight into the tutorial!

Double Review: Francesca’s Scrunchies + $25 Curling Iron!

Hey guys! First off, I’m so happy that you guys liked my March Lookbook post! I’m hoping to make more fashion posts like that and start posting more of that kind of format/style. ๐Ÿ™‚ Today I’m going to be reviewing some scrunchies from Francesca’s that I got last weekend (two weekends ago by the time you’re reading this!) and I’m OBSESSED with them, lol! The other product I will be reviewing is $25 curling iron that my mom got for me (I believe she got it from Amazon).

Oh, and before we get started I want to say a HUGE thank you because WE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS!!! *confetti flies everywhere* Eeeeeep, I’m so happy and excited, thank you so much! It means the world to me that so many of you guys would take the time to actually read my posts and then decide to follow along. THANK YOU! Hopefully, there will be a very exciting surprise coming late April to celebrate, so stay tuned! ๐Ÿ˜‰

**Quick disclaimer: This post is not sponsored!** Let’s get right to it, starting with the scrunchies!

SCRUNCHIES

They come on a cute little paperboard cutout that can be used for storing them, which is great! When I first saw these, I fell in LOVE with the colors (blush pink is my thing, lol!) and they’re so, so soft.

The elastic is super strong yet just stretchy enough! Ahh, I’m still dying over those gorgeous colors. These scrunchies are just amazing quality – when you buy them off of Amazon, usually the elastic is super loose and flimsy, the fabric is weak, and there’s not a scrunch to it. It’s worth it to pay those few extra dollars and the quality be 100x better!

They hold super well in your hair – unless you’re going to be working out or doing something crazy active, they’ll stay in without using a hair tie under it. My hair is super thin, fine, and slippery, so I have to wrap it around three times for it to stay, but if you have super thick hair you could *maybe* get away with two!

There are 5 scrunchies in white, beige, bubblegum, rose pink, and maroon for $14.99! I definitely think it’s worth the price (in-store, they even had a buy-1-get-1-free deal so I got one for my friend’s birthday!), and I would 10/10 recommend these awesome quality scrunchies! You can get them here (once again, not sponsored lol).

hoson curling iron

First off, it comes with a handy-dandy instruction manual, and of course the curling iron itself! It also has a nice cord (more on that in bit). It comes in four sizes: 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 1 in, and 1 1/2 in. I’m pretty sure I have the 1/2 inch – as I mentioned above, my hair is pretty long but reeeeally fine and thin, so I needed a smaller one. It has a convenient little rubber tip and a wire stand to prop it up when setting it down or heating, and the handle part is plastic (I think?).

It has some nice on/off buttons with buttons that allow you to adjust the temperature and even a little screen to view how hot it is, which is super nice and a lot more than you’d expect from a $25 curling iron! It can heat anywhere from 175 to 400 degrees (Fahrenheit).

It also comes with this unnecessary glove that’s way too big and makes my thumb look a thousand miles long, lol!

The cord is super thick and long, and it rotates 360 degrees on the iron so the cord never gets in the way!

Here’s a peek into the instruction manual (which is incredibly detailed for a curling iron, by the way). It gives you some technical info plus a sort of anatomy, and also some examples of “results” (which I’m pretty sure weren’t done with this iron and actually by professional hairstylists, but, oh well.) ๐Ÿ˜‚

Alright, let’s try this out! I heated it to 275 degrees, but I recommend at least 300.

Lol ignore the fact that I’m wearing 3 scrunchies at once ๐Ÿ˜‚

It’s really easy to use, and this is my first curling iron ever, so after a little bit of my mom helping me, I think I got the hang of it!

And that’s the final result! It creates some nice waves. Tight curls usually don’t stay, but that might just be my fine hair and my lack of using hair spray. The result is cute and easy, I totally recommend this inexpensive curling iron for easy results!

Thank you so much for reading this post! I had fun making it, and I hope you had fun reading it, too. Stay safe, healthy, and happy, and expect more posts soon since I’m stuck at home and have nothing better to do! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Do you like scrunchies? Do you ever shop at Francesca’s? Which color is our favorite? What curling iron do you use, and would you ever use this one? What have you been doing during the quarantine?

March Lookbook – 10 Teen/Tween Outfit Ideas For Spring 2020!

Pin me!

Hey daydreamers! Spring break is finally here, and I’ve felt so relaxed and refreshed this week…and a little bored, too. ๐Ÿ˜‚ With all that time on my hands, I decided to create a bunch of blog posts, so I’m all set for the next couple of weeks! Yay me being productive! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ˜

On the survey I posted last week, you guys wanted to see more fashion posts! I had this one all planned out, so it worked out perfectly. Hey, I’m here to do what the people ask. ๐Ÿ˜‚ The nice thing about early March in Texas is that you can wear almost anything and not be hot or cold – jeans and a long-sleeve shirt, short sleeves and shorts, a short-sleeved dress and leggings, etc.

Another thing I love about springtime is the color palate, so I tried to incorporate a lot of light colors and pastels but also some dark ones also to balance it out! If you like any of these outfits, I’ll have similar items linked below and make sure to pin them on your Outfits board on Pinterest (and if you do, let me know and I’ll send you 3 free wallpapers!)

Without further adieu, let’s get to it! *Quick disclaimer: This post is NOT sponsored.*

3 Hairstyles for Dance Class! | How to Do A Ballet Bun

Hey daydreamers! Y’all seemed to like my stage makeup tutorial from last week, and I’ve been really into trying out new hairstyles lately, so I decided to show you guys some bun styles for ballet class!

There’s not really a right or wrong way to do a bun – it just takes a lot of practice, but it’s pretty simple once you master it! There’s a lot of different techniques and styles that you can do, so here’s a few of my favorites (and the first two only took me less than 10 minutes, and the last just a little over that)!

#1: The Classic Ballerina Bun

I JUST REALIZED I’M WEARING THE EXACT SAME SHIRT AS LAST WEEK! AND I’M IN THE SAME SPOT….HOW WEIRD IS THAT!

First, start by brushing your hair up into a high ponytail. Make sure to smooth out any bumps and get it at the crown of your head. Secure with a hair elastic.

Now, separate the ponytail into two equal sections and twist one of the sections until it’s almost like a rope.

Take that rope of hair and pin it all the way around the other section until you’ve made a little donut around the remaining half of the ponytail.

Next, twist the remaining part of the ponytail into another little rope.

Take that rope and pin it all the way around the donut until you have a cinnamon roll! Don’t worry if it looks messy at this point – we’ll fix that in a minute. Try to pin down as many flyaway hairs as you can.

Twist a hair net (you can find them at literally any grocery store, drugstore, dollar store or anywhere that sells beauty products) around the bun — and voila! It magically turns that mess into a neat, clean ballerina bun. Hair nets are my secret weapon when it comes to dance hairstyles!

Finally, spritz some water around your head to smooth out any flyaways. Use a barrette or hairlip to pin up any hair that’s hanging out on your neck into the bun.

If you would like, add a cute scrunchie to finish off the style and cover up the hairlip and any loose hairs, and you’re done! Lastly, spray with hairspray. And that’s how you do a simple ballerina bun!

#2: The Donut Bun

My face in this picture ๐Ÿ˜‚ For this next method, we’re going to be using a hair donut. You can find these basically anywhere – Claire’s, any beauty or drugstore, grocery stores, dance shops...

Start by, again, pulling your hair up into a medium-length or high ponytail, and make sure to get rid of any bumps. Make the ponytail nice and tight. (Mine’s pretty loose in that picture, but I fix that in a bit.)

Now, place the donut around the ponytail – like how you would wear a scrunchie or hair tie. Make sure the donut matches your hair color!

Spread your hair all over the bun, like a fountain. Then secure with a hair elastic. You should have some hair left over.

Next, separate the leftover hair into three equal sections and braid each section. Make sure to tie off the braids with a clear hair band.

Go around the bun, pinning each braid with bobby pins.

Pin them all the way around each other, and then spread the hair on the donut equally around it and pin in place.

Add a hairnet and – magic! – your bun is smooth and clean-looking! (Haha I sound like a commercial for hairnets)

Finally, pin up any excess hairs with a barrette, and smooth everything with water. Lastly, spray with hairspray, and add a cute scrunchie. Aaaand….you’re done!

#3: French Braid Twist Bun

For this one, you’ll need to know how to French braid. Basically, you braid from the top of your head all the way to the bottom, picking up more hair along the way as you braid. Here’s a great tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj7iuiVBpao&t=326s

First, separate your hair into two equal sections.

Start at the top and french braid both sections all the way to the bottom – don’t worry if it looks a little messy!

Now, twist the two braids together to make a long, thick rope.

Wrap them in a circle around each other and pin all the way around in a circle, making a big braided donut.

Make sure to secure with a hair elastic and add extra bobby pins to stop wispies!

Finally, clean it up by adding a hairnet, smoothing with water, pinning down braids so they stay flat, and spraying with hairspray!

And you’re done!

And that’s it for this post! I hope you learned something new and maybe you tried out some of these hairstyles, whether for ballet class, a special occasion, or just around the house. Thanks for reading, and have an awesome day!

How do you do your hair for dance? Your favorite style out of the three? Can you french/dutch braid? What’s your go-to bun method?

How I Do My Makeup for Performances // Stage Makeup Tutorial!

Hey daydreamers! You guys really seemed to like my morning routine post, so I decided to do something sort of similar to that today.

In this post, I’m basically going to be showing you how I do my makeup for shows and ballet performances, and this is pretty much how I did my makeup for Nutcracker a few weeks ago! (I miss Nutcracker so much!!! *cries*)

First off, I am in no way a professional makeup artist or anything, I have no idea what I’m doing and this is basically what I’ve figured out by experimenting and trying out products and stuff. And also, this isn’t sponsored or anything (haha as if, I wish this was sponsored lol)!

Without futher ado…my attempt at a makeup tutorial! ๐Ÿ˜‚

This is just my face pre-makeup. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Onstage, it’s really important to wear heavy makeup because the huge stage lights completely wash your face out, and you have to make sure the back row of the audience can see your facial expressions. You mainly just have to focus on brows, eyes, lips, and cheekbones.

Lol, I should know…once I was in a play and I didn’t wear ANY makeup at all, and it looks like I don’t even have a face in this picture! *Cringes*

The first thing I do is just pull my hair back into a simple ponytail, just to keep my hair out of my face.

First, I’m using a beauty blender and a Neutrogena product (I think it’s supposed to be cover up, but I sort of use it like foundation.)

Next, I apply the cover up on my chin, forehead, cheeks, and under my eyes. Then I blend everything in with the beauty blender by sort of bouncing the blender on my face and smoothing everything out with my fingers.

Next, I put some highlighter around the corners of my eyes to brighten them up a little.

Sorry this is out of focus! I’m using the light to medium matte bronzer, matte rose blush, and gold highlighter from this palate from the Nuetrogena makeup case I got for Christmas.

My face in this picture, lol! First, I take the matte bronzer and lightly dust it over my cheekbones, and blend with a beauty blender.

Next, I apply some blush to my cheekbones – a little more than I would usually do, because it needs to show up onstage. Once again, blend!

Lastly, I dust a touch of shimmery gold highlighter slightly above my cheekbones. And I – you guessed it! – blend it all in.

Onto brows! I’m using the light brown brow cream from the same case thing.

Using a brow brush, I brush on a thick line at the top of my brows, which looks really funny and strange at first, lol!

After that, I blend it together by rubbing my fingers over my brows, and then I fill in any sparse spots with the brow brush.

Next, I apply some glowy nude eyeshadow base with an eyeshadow brush. I really like using this because it smooths everything out and gives your eyes a bit of a natural glow!

Moving onto my favorite part – eyeshadow! I’m using the Candelight, Amour, Midnight, and Sparks colors from this palate, and a crease brush from a brush kit I got.

First, I dust the Candelight shade all over my lids. Then I go over that with the Amour color. After that, I brush the darker Midnight color from the bottom of my eyelids to my crease, and then go over everything with the light shimmery Sparks color.

Ta-da! Eyeshadow done, now onto lashes and eyeliner.

Doing my own eyeliner is really hard for me, so I usually have my mom do it…but I tried, and kinda failed, haha! For shows I always, always, always do winged eyeliner! I attempted a wing here and it’s kinda uneven…oh well?

Second-to-last, I apply mascara! I use this really big, thick one for onstage. I don’t know why, but mascara is really fun to put on for some reason. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Normally, when I’m in a group dance, we all have one lipstick color that we all share so we look the same, so I usually put it on there. It kinda depends on the role: sometimes it’s pink, and sometimes it’s red.

Finally, fill in your lip liner with a bright red or dark pink shade, and you’re done!

I’m pretty happy about how this turned out! The eyeliner is only a little bit messy, and the eyeshadow turned out pretty well! I probably would’ve done everything a bit more exaggerated for a real show, but I didn’t want to put a TON on because it’s hard to take it off, especially thick eyeliner. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And that’s it for this post! I hope you guys found this interesting, and maybe you can use it to try out some stage makeup of your own. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Have you ever done stage makeup? Do you like makeup everyday, or only for shows and special occasions? Pink or red lipstick? Are you bad at eyeliner like me?

My Winter Break Morning Routine // GRWM!

Hey daydreamers! It’s so crazy that it’s 2020. GUYS IT’S A NEW DECAAAADE!!!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway, I thought it would be really fun to show you my Saturday morning routine, but since it’s still winter break, my mornings are a little bit different than usual. So, without further ado, my Saturday morning routine during winter break!

9:20 – I wake up around 9:15-ish, even though I meant to wake up at 8:00, but oh well. ๐Ÿ˜‚ My alarm doesn’t go off or anything, I just wake up when my mom comes in and opened my curtains.

9:24 The first thing I do when I wake up is make my bed – which does not usually happen on a regular day. Something about recording your morning for your blog post makes you extra-productive, I guess? ๐Ÿ˜‚

9:30 – Then I head into the bathroom and pull my hair back into a quick ponytail with a scrunchie. The only way I could get a picture of the back of my head is to hold my phone up to the mirror…

9:31 – Then I wash my face. I just use this Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser from Kroger, and I really like it. I try to make sure to wash my face first thing in the morning, because it makes me feel productive and refreshed.

9:35 – Then I apply this moisturizing lotion, but I have this teeny-tiny sample bottle that I got for my birthday, lol! I like this lotion, and it feels really good, especially because I have dry/normal skin.

9:36 – And I also use this rose water spray after moisturizing my face, you just spritz it on and it feels really good!

9:44 – Sorry about the weird picture – I had to use the self-timer on my phone and a really tiny tripod, lol. Then I head back into my room and get dressed. Today I’m just wearing a really comfy oversized pink and grey shirt that my mom passed down to me because it was too small for her, and then some black leggings.

9:52 AM – Then I head back into the bathroom and do my hair real quick – I did my normal half-up/half-down style, and then did a really small fishtail braid and added another elastic to create a little bubble.

9:54 – Next, I do my makeup for the day. First I do my brows, and I use this light brown brow cream from my makeup kit that I got for Christmas, and I use a brow brush from the same kit.

10:01 – Then, I apply mascara. I just use a Neutrogena Healthy Lengths mascara from Kroger, and it isn’t the best mascara I’ve ever used, but it works well and looks natural.

10:04 – Finally, I apply some lip gloss. This one is from that same kit, from Ulta. It’s a little dark, so I dab some of it off with a tissue.

10:05 – Makeup done!

10:30 – Every Saturday since I was a baby, me, my dad, and little sister have been riding our bikes to a donut place that’s a few blocks away from our house. Since my dad wasn’t home this morning, my sister and I rode our bikes by ourself and bought a donut for each of us and brought it home. I got a fresh glazed that was soooo good!

And then I made myself some apple spice-flavored tea (that smells amaaaaazing) in this stormtrooper mug, because I can. ๐Ÿ˜‚ This mug is hilarious. As I sipped my tea, I responded to some comments and read some blog posts.

And thus ends my Saturday winter break morning routine! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this, I had so much fun making this! See ya next Saturday!

My Dream Bedroom Tour + 50 Followers Q&A!

Hey daydreamers! I love how my room is now – it’s teal and llama themed, and I love the gallery walls I made and how colorful it is. But, of course, I’m always daydreaming about what my room could look like if I redid it – pink and grey colors, with golden accents, light wooden furniture, fairy lights and soft furry fabrics…a girl can dream, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

So in this post, I decided to give you a little “tour” of my dream room using photos from Pottery Barn Teen! Once again, this post was inspired by Hannah @ The Striped Plaid Co – make sure to check out her awesome dream house tour posts!

Also, I have some super crazy exciting news – GUYS, WE HIT 50 FOLLOWERS! (Technically 53 by the time I’m typing this post up!) This is so, so crazy – I just started this blog in like July. That’s not even six months! DD is growing so fast and I’m so grateful for all of y’alls amazing support and kindness. *Reaches out of the computer to hug each and every one of y’all* ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

To celebrate, I decided to host a Q&A with you guys! Basically, you can ask questions in the comments, and in two weeks on November 16, I’ll answer them all in one giant post! I’m so excited for this, and I think it will be a ton of fun! Make sure to leave your questions in the comments!

Okay, enough rambling – let’s get started on my dream room!

(Also, this isn’t sponsored by PBTeen or anything! I just love their room decor, so I used photos from their website.)

**ALL PHOTOS ARE FROM PBTEEN.COM UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED**

Color Scheme

Made by Emmie with Canva

The four main colors would be a blush pink, grayish brown, cool black, and metallic gold. I think these colors go super nicely with each other! Also, white is another main color, but that wouldn’t really show up, so…

Bed & Bedding

I really love this adorable bed, and it’s in the perfect color! I really like the style of the headboard and the side drawers are really cute. I love the light brushed wooden color, and it goes so perfectly with the color scheme!

THIS BED IS LITERALLY AMAZING! It’s totally my style, the perfect colors, and that comforter is absolutely gorgeous. Plus, I really love all the decor and polaroids in the picture! I don’t know if I love the platform bed style though…maybe if it was taller?

Desks, Nightstands & Vanities

I really love this cute white desk! The angled legs are really cute, and I also really love the chair. The calendar at the top is pretty, too!

Also I love the gold on this minimalistic nightstand! This could totally be my room because I ALWAYS have books everywhere – lying on the floor, in piles on the corner, on top of my nightstand, next to my bed…

This nightstand is also totally my style! Just by the pictures so far, you can get a pretty good idea of what I like. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Also those rose gold headphones are amazing, lol! This nightstand is pretty similar to the last one, but I like it a little better since it’s a little smaller.

Also this desk is AMAZING! Well, more of the general color, chair, and design and decor of the stuff on top of it, but I’m not a huge fan of how the wood print looks. Otherwise it looks really cute! I would probably want a chair with a back though, not just a stool.

AND THIS VANITY IS GORGEOUS! Sorry, got a little excited there…๐Ÿ˜› I don’t currently have any makeup (Although fingers crossed for Christmas! ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜‰) I think this little setup would be so cute and helpful for when I do. I might add a little more color to this, with some succulents and stuff…but I love the built in brush and curler holders, along with the clear-top storage drawer inside the vanity! I also like how it attaches to the wall, so it wouldn’t take up that much space, and I could just put a small stool under it for when I would use it.

This vanity is also cute! I mean, I obviously like the other one a lot better (As you could tell by that very thick paragraph) but I like how simple and charming tis one is.

Chairs & Lounge Stuff

This grey chair is so pretty and simple! I would probably put it at my desk. It looks like a comfy velvety material, which would be really cute, and of course the gold legs are perfect for the color scheme.

I LOVE this fuzzy, furry beanbag chair! How cute is that?? I think this would be super fun to relax and read in.

Photo from CB2

This stool I would put under that vanity table! I love the idea of a fuzzy stool like this. I would probably want one with a thicker/fluffier seat. This is so cute though!

Bookshelves & Storage

This is pretty cute! I don’t love how the tops curve like that, and I would probably want solid sides – do you know what I mean? Probably not, I’m horrible at explaining things. XD

I like this bookcase a lot though! I think the drawer adds a cute touch to it. Since I have a lot of books and stuff, I’d probably have two of these in my dream bedroom.

These bookshelf are also really cute! They match perfectly with that bed, too. I really love the paneled wood, and the creamy brown/gray color.

Miscellaneous Stuff ๐Ÿ™ƒ

This simple and pretty circular mirror is so pretty! In my dream room, I would put this next to my bed, kind of like how I have a mirror in my room now. I love how simplistic this is!

And these succulents are so cute! I’ve always wanted succulents for my room – I have a really tiny fake one in this little llama mug, but I don’t keep it in my room. I’d probably have to stick to fake succulents, since I pretty much have a black thumb…๐Ÿ˜‚

This fuzzy pink shag rug would look really cute in front of the bed in my dream room! (Haha, I can picture everything in my room perfectly!) Plus it would tie in some more of that blush pink and add a pop of color.

Also these pink curtains are really pretty and would add some color too! I like how they’re sort of sheer, but not. Welp that didn’t make any sense

And that’s it for this post! I had a ton of fun making this, and I can totally picture everything I listed here in my room. You can definitely get a good idea of my style from this: minimalistic, trendy, girly, and aesthetic! Also anything pink or gold…

Also, don’t forget to comment below your questions for the Q&A! I’m so excited for this, and I can’t wait to see all of your questions! And don’t forget to share this post to get the new cozy-themed November wallpapers!

Do you like PBTeen? How would you describe your decorating style? What does your room look like now? Have you ever redone your room? Any questions for the Q&A?

Birthday Shopping Haul! (Ft. A CRAZY EXCITING Announcement!)

Hey daydreamers! Ahh, I can’t believe that I’m going to be 12 in 12 days! (Well, actually 11, because I’m posting this late but OH WELL.) That’s crazy! To celebrate, my Grandma took me on a shopping trip for my birthday, so today I’m going to be showing you what I got! Thanks, Grandma!

About that CRAZY EXCITING announcement mentioned in the title…well, you’re going to have to wait until the end of the post – BUT IT MAY OR MAY NOT BE BALLET RELATED. *is freaking out*

*BORING DISCLAIMER STUFF* I’m not trying to brag about what I got, no hate please, I’m just showing you, blah blah blah. Let’s get started!

First, my grandma took me to get my nails done, and I’m obsessed with this copper color! Thanks, Grandma! I mean, this obviously isn’t a shopping item, but…

First off, I got this cute sparkly notebook from Claire’s! It has the words “Pretty little thoughts” on the front, and comes with a little golden pen. I’m so excited to write in this once I finish my current diary!

Claire’s had this buy 3 get 3 free deal, so I got five different nail polishes! I got a dark pink, light blue, matte pastel purple, white, and a clear coat. I’m definitely excited to paint my nails more, and this was a big item on my wishlist!

Of course, I had to get some scrunchies from Justice! I’m addicted. I have way too many scrunchies, but I love these gold and mint teal ones! I’m super excited to wear these.

I also got these cute jeans from Justice! These are super comfortable skinny jeans, and they’re light wash – my favorite! I love the little embroidery and the faded look. These are so cute! I wore them today and GUYS THESE ARE SO COMFY! Plus they go great with my scrunchies.

Next, I got these adorable light pink leg warmers from Target that I love! They’re so comfy and cute. I’m super excited to wear these, especially when – oh wait, you’re going to have to wait until the end of the post. ๐Ÿ˜‰ MWAHAHA

Also from the More Than Magic line, I got this cucumber melon sheet mask! I looove sheet masks, and I’m really excited to try this one out.

I also got this sun kissed summer-scented body lotion! It feels really good on my hands. I’m not 100% a fan of how it smells, (but I do think the scent is growing on me!) but it’s really soothing to wear!

From Target, I also got this 5-pack of lip balm. I really needed these, since I’m running low on all of my lip balm and my lips are allllwaaays chapped. They all smell pretty good, and I love the different scents and flavors!

I also got this cute athletic grey tank top from Target. It’s super comfortable, and it’ll go perfectly with those jeans! As a dancer, it’s pretty important for me to be able to move in what I’m wearing, since I’m constantly stretching and practicing. Plus, the top is cute!

I also got these adorable purple/pink/blue marble leggings from Target! I love the gorgeous pattern on these leggings and all the cute little details, like the crisscrossing at the ankles and stitching on the sides. They also feel super comfortable and I can totally breathe and move around in them! I’m wearing them right now with a matching tank top that I have.

Okay, last but not least, we have the item I’m most excited about…a Quip toothbrush! I’m so excited to open this! Also, I love how the copper matches my nails PERFECTLY, lol.

When you open it up, you’ll find a code to order refill batteries and brush heads, the brush itself in a plastic tube, and a pamphlet thingy that has brushing tips, toothpaste that you can get, how to get started, why Quip, and more!

And here’s the brush! I literally brushed my teeth in the middle of this post because I wanted to try it out so badly, and IT IS AMAZING. It’s like the best of both worlds, regular and electric, all wrapped up in one (aesthetically pleasing, lol) toothbrush!

I hope you guys liked this post! Once again, huge thanks to my Grandma for taking me shopping, I had so much fun! I’ll probably do a separate birthday haul post with the things I’ll get for my actual birthday, and of course I’ll show you guys what I did!

Hmm, anything else? Nope? Alright then, thanks for reading, see you next Saturday! *waves*

Kidding…I’ve kept you in suspense long enough! (I mean, you probably figured it out, but…) IT’S TIME FOR THE SUPER IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT…I’m getting my pointe shoes!

*Squeals* If you skipped the post and scrolled down to the announcement, GO BACK AND READ THE POST. Okay? Done? Good! I’m going to my first fitting on October 19, and I’m so excited! I found out Wednesday, and I’ve spent the past few days hungrily devouring as much knowledge as I can: I’ve watched a ton of YouTube videos, the making of pointe shoe films, read articles, and I’m even reading this book called The Pointe Book! It’s really good, and I’ll definitely do a review soon!

Are you as excited as I am that I’m finally getting pointe shoes? Which item is your favorite? Do you like the new More Than Magic brand from Target? Opinion on electric toothbrushes? Light or dark wash?

12 Things For My 12th Birthday // Wishlist 2019!

Hey guys! So my birthday is coming up in exactly 19 days, so I’m trying to start thinking about what I want to ask for – which is super hard this year, because I’m past the stage of flipping through toy catalogues and circling stuff, but I feel guilty asking for super expensive stuff like a new laptop.

So after a whole lot of thought, Amazon searching, and list-making, I finally came up with my wishlist for my twelfth birthday, and I thought I’d share it on here! Let’s get started!

PHOTO COLLAGES: Made by me, Emmie, with Canva. Images from Google, Amazon, Redbubble and Canva.

ยป HydroFlask

Pretty much every single girl at my school has one of these trendy water bottles, and I think they’re super cute and I love all the different colors they come in! I’ve also been wanting to start a sticker water bottle, so this is perfect! I would probably get it in white with a straw cap.

ยป Stickers!!

This goes with the last one: stickers for my HydroFlask! There’s this website called RedBubble that has a bunch of cute ones. I would want to get a lot of colorful VSCO girly ones (lol), since my HydroFlask would be white. I like the ones that come in sets of one color, like pink or yellow!

ยป Electric Toothbrush

Okay, I know this sounds like the lamest birthday gift ever, but I really need a new toothbrush – I’ve had my electric toothbrush since I was seven or something and it’s super gross, plus the brush head falls off constantly! I really like this toothbrush from Quip, plus they send you new brush heads and toothpaste every three months! I definitely need this one!

ยป Silk PJs + Pillowcase

Did you know people spend about 26 years of their lives sleeping? (So says Google, at least.) So it’s pretty important to have good sleepwear! Silk is great for your skin and sleep, plus I’ve heard it’s pretty comfy! This is definitely a big item on my wishlist.

ยป Shoes!

I think it would be fun to get some white Converse or maybe rose gold tennis shoes for my birthday! I pretty much have two closed-toe shoes that actually fit and I can wear to school, plus my slip-ons are getting pretty dirty!

ยป Letter Board

I already have a marque board with one row, but I think it would be fun to have a letterboard that I could hang on my wall and write different messages on!

ยป Fitness Watch

My old fitness watch is pretty beat up (also, pretty sure I lost it) so I think it’s time for a new one! It doesn’t necessarily have to be a FitBit (although that would be pretty cool!), just something cute and functional!

ยป Nail Polish

I definitely want to get back into painting my nails more, but I only have 3 good colors! This would definitely be fun for my birthday since I’m planning to have a spa-themed party! I think the colors in this picture would be cute.

ยป Jeans

I definitely need a few pairs of jeans! I only have 1 that fits me right now, so it would be nice to have a couple more. I think light wash would be cute, maybe some with rips or cuffs!

ยป Journal + Pens

In my opinion, you can NEVER have enough journals, lol! When I finish my current diary I usually like to have another notebook ready for me to start. I like spirals with aesthetic designs! I also would love some pens; I got the cutest ones from Eccolo Ltd. for Christmas last year, but they all died out!

ยป Brush Pens + Calligraphy Book

This sorta goes with the one above! I’ve been wanting to get more into calligraphy, and I think a handlettering book would be super helpful getting started! I know how to do a few fonts, but unfortunately I lost all of my brush pens…

ยป Books!

Of course, I have to have books on my wishlist! A few titles I’ve been wanting to read: Girl On Pointe by Chloe Lusiask, The Competition by Maddie Ziegler, and 12 Before 13 by Lisa Greenwald!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you guys liked taking a peek at my 12th birthday wishlist – plus, this is a super great gift guide if you’re looking for birthday present ideas for 11 and 12 year old girls!

What’s on your wishlist? Did you like the collages? Which item do you like most? When’s your birthday?
