answering awards!

Hey daydreamers! Right now, I’m at camp! Today is my last day, and I should be coming home either today or tomorrow to answer all your comments, questions, emails, and check on your posts.

If you couldn’t tell already, this post is scheduled! I’m writing this on a rainy Friday morning, with lots of packing to do and a blog post to get up. I couldn’t really come up with anything that I could write in a short amount of time, so I decided I would finally get around to doing some awards!

I get tagged/nominated for awards a *lot*, but I honestly don’t love doing them? I love it when you guys nominate me and totally feel free to, but just know I might not get around to doing it unless I have absolutely nothing to post! I don’t really love to read tag posts either, but I’ll try to do my best to make this post as interesting and fun to read as possible! My goal is to tackle at least two awards in this post, and let’s get straight into it!

my favorite youtubers!

What do you think of the new featured image style?

Hey daydreamers! Welcome or welcome back to my blog! ๐Ÿ˜Š Lol, why do I sound like a YouTuber all of the sudden? Speaking of…today’s post is a list of my favorite YouTube channels! Yup nobody saw that coming I was a bit stuck on what to post this week, so I figured I would finally do a post that’s been sitting on my post idea list for awhile and share some of my favorite YouTubers!

Before we get started with the post, I want to give a quick thank you to you guys! ๐ŸŽ‰ We hit 200+ followers! ๐ŸŽ‰ We currently have around 210 total! I’m so grateful for each and every one of you (except for the random Arabic dudes who keep following me and I’m pretty sure are bots ๐Ÿ˜‚), and it seems crazy to me that over 200 people decided they liked my blog enough to follow me! Thank you so much for all of your support, I love love love you guys! ๐Ÿ’–

Okay, now onto the post! I’m subscribed to a lot of YouTube channels that I like, and all of them are really different, so I separated them into categories like “Lifestyle” and “All-time Favorites”. Also, none of these channels asked me to promote them or anything. Let’s get into it!

what’s in my cheerleading bag!

Hey daydreamers! As some of you may or may not know, I’ve been at cheer camp this week and it was super fun (and insanely exhausting)! Since we aren’t allowed to do stunts and stuff like that because of coronavirus, they basically shoved four halftime dances, the fight song, a million chants, a bunch of cheers, technique, and a bunch more into our brains, plus a ton of conditioning and stretching within five days. It was a lot, but also super fun and I got to see my friends who are also on the team!

At my school, it’s K-12, so there’s one cheer team for junior high (the team I’m on) and one team for varsity/high school. Our JH team is super small this year, so we’ll only have one stunt group, and my best friend and I are going to switch out as flyers and I’m so excited!

I’ve done a What’s In My Backpack and a few other dance bag/volleyball bag posts, and all of them have done super well and I had fun making them, so I decided to do a post showing you guys my cheer bag for camp! Without further introduction, let’s get started!

Independence Day Blog Tour Celebration Collab: What I โค About My State

Hey daydreamers! Today’s post is going to be extra special. Mary Elizabeth came up with the idea for a fun 4th of July blog tour to celebrate our independence throughout the blogosphere! Her, Diamond & I are hosting the blog tour, and this is my post for it!

I have a kind of sad update for you guys – on Sunday, just a few hours before we were supposed to leave for camp, I found out that two counselors tested positive for COVID-19, and they had to cancel last week’s session – the week I was supposed to go. It was super hard to hear that, but we tried to make the best of our time in San Antonio and got to visit some family and friends! We rescheduled for session 8, which is on July 19th, and I’m hoping and praying they won’t cancel it and I’ll get to go! It was a super bummer at first, and I’ve got to restart the 14-day quarantine and prep/pack all over again. More staff got it, so they canceled this week too, and I really hope session 8 wonโ€™t get cancled! I have cheer camp this week (yay!) some fun posts planned, and a special surprise for Diary of a Daydreamer’s birthday, so stay tuned for that!

For the tour, I decided to make a post about all the things I love about Texas, which, I admit, was a pretty daunting task at first. I mean, Texas is 268,597 square miles (a couple thousand square miles bigger than France) and is home to 29 million people – how am I supposed to represent all of that in one post?! I tried my best to make a list of the things I love about living in the Lone Star State, plus some cool fun facts and, of course, Independence Day stuff too. So let’s get straight into it! Some of the photos are mine, and others are from Pinterest.

what i’m wearing to summer camp! (packing for camp pt. 1)

Hey daydreamers! By this time next week, I’ll be at summer camp! I’m super excited and totally freaking out because it feels sooo soon and super far away at the same time. I was super scared that I wasnโ€™t going to get to go, but then it was going to still happen like normal! Unfortunately, they went and changed a lot of things to make it safer, like weโ€™re mainly going to stay with our cabin group and no specialties/theme nights (except Alpha vs. Omega & Mission Impossible)/or large groups, which is sad! Iโ€™m still grateful I get to go though and I’m super excited.

Today’s post is going to be the first half of a 2-part series, packing for camp! In this part, I’m going to be showing you all of the outfits that I’m planning to wear at camp. This’ll probably change by the time I actually go, but it gives a pretty good idea of what I’ll be wearing!

day in the life of a quaran-tween: *trying* to have a productive day! (keyword: trying)

Hey daydreamers! This post has been at the top of my idea list for awhile now, and I’m finally getting around to doing it. As you can tell by the title, I’m doing a day in the life post, but quarantine edition! I also decided to try and be as productive as I could today (Wednesday, but you’ll see this post on Saturday!), and I guess that *sort of* actually happened? Anyway, let’s get straight into the post!

how to make friendship bracelets for beginners! (chevron bracelet tutorial)

update: i said pictured below, but i never actually added the picture lol, but it’s there now!

Hey daydreamers! I’m back with another post in our summer-y series to kick off the new season. Today’s blog post is going to be a tutorial-style like last week! In quarantine, I’ve picked up a lot of new hobbies (including yoga, guitar, Spanish-learning, and other random things), and one of them includes friendship bracelet making!

Flash forward to quarantine, I randomly decided to try making bracelets again, so I watched a few YouTube videos. Once I’d mastered chevron (the one I’m showing you today!) I learned how to make candy stripe, a heart design, and eventually, I figured out how to read patterns! I made a bracelet for some of my friends (pictured below) with this watermelon pattern, this wave pattern, this turtle pattern, and this arrow pattern.
