Hey daydreamers! Monday was my first day of school and I can’t believe that summer’s over! It literally went by so fast. It was such a great summer full of amazing memories, and it’s weird to be back at school!
It feels like it’s been so long since I’ve last posted on here! I’ve been super busy with a dance intensive, cheer, and also all the back-to-school events/things that needed to be done, so I haven’t had much time to blog. But I’m back today with a post that I’ve been excited to write: how I did on my summer bucket list! Let’s get right into it.

In today’s interview, Diamond and I chatted all about blogging, as well as bullet journaling, the MCU, photostory and photography tips, Taylor Swift, and more! Let’s get right into it. My questions will be in bold font, and Diamond’s answers will be in regular.
Hey daydreamers! I’ve missed y’all! I ended up taking a much-needed break from blogging last week because…it was my 13th birthday! I had the best birthday ever, starting with a beautiful balloon arch made by my parents, iced coffee and chicken minis from Chick-Fil-A (YUM), followed by an amazing birthday party with a few of my close friends! We stunted, did spa stuff and makeovers, and watched a really sad movie lol. It was such a great day and I’m so grateful for my parents and amazing friends!! 🤗 What have you been up to this week?
As you could tell from the title, it’s finally time for the long-awaited ROOM TOUR!! I’m so excited for this and I love reading these types of posts, so I hope you guys will too! Since my birthday is over and my room is pretty finished, I decided to finally show you guys the “after” of my room makeover. I know that not everyone gets to do this and I feel really lucky and grateful for this room! (Also, isn’t it cool that my dream room post from awhile back is kinda my room now??)
Okay, without further ado, let’s get into the room tour! (Also, any white blobs are covering up personal information, just FYI.)
Hey daydreamers! As some of you may or may not know, I’ve been at cheer camp this week and it was super fun (and insanely exhausting)! Since we aren’t allowed to do stunts and stuff like that because of coronavirus, they basically shoved four halftime dances, the fight song, a million chants, a bunch of cheers, technique, and a bunch more into our brains, plus a ton of conditioning and stretching within five days. It was a lot, but also super fun and I got to see my friends who are also on the team!
At my school, it’s K-12, so there’s one cheer team for junior high (the team I’m on) and one team for varsity/high school. Our JH team is super small this year, so we’ll only have one stunt group, and my best friend and I are going to switch out as flyers and I’m so excited!
I’ve done a What’s In My Backpack and a few other dance bag/volleyball bag posts, and all of them have done super well and I had fun making them, so I decided to do a post showing you guys my cheer bag for camp! Without further introduction, let’s get started!

Hey daydreamers! So you might have noticed that lately I’ve been really inconsistent and disorganized with this blog. My posts haven’t been going up on Saturdays like they’re supposed to, and everything just feels slightly off.
So I thought some changes definitely needed to happen around here! Don’t worry – nothing too drastic is happening. I’m not quitting blogging or anything. I just thought a few changes might need to be made to get things working smoothly around here!

Don’t worry, the ballerina theme is going anywhere (I paid like $20 for those graphics, sooo….😂)! I’m thinking about switching my theme over so it feels new and fresh, and also switching up the fonts. The ballerina featured image is getting kind of old, too, so I thought of a cool Polaroid idea to accent the ballerinas! What do you guys think? Is there anything about the design you think I should change?

Lately, I’ve been having trouble getting posts up by Saturdays, because Saturday afternoon I’m like “shoot, I need to make a blog post” and then I start one but I run out of time and energy to finish it. If I don’t finish by Sunday, then it usually never goes up…
So I’m thinking of doing more of a scheduled approach that spreads the workload throughout the week:
Monday: Finalize what the post will be
Tuesday: Make a list of stuff that needs to get done in order to make the post
Wednesday: Write/photograph most of the post
Friday: Finish post and schedule
Saturday: Before it goes up, add finishing touches and images!
Hopefully this will keep me on track a little better!

I don’t know why, but lately I’ve been slacking on reading and replying to emails and comments. I’m so sorry if your email has been waiting in my inbox and I haven’t replied yet! I’m going to try to be a lot better about replying to comments and emails right away.
Also, I’m going to start leaving a comment on every post I read, because I know how happy I get when someone leaves a comment on my blog and I want to spread that to other people! 😄 I haven’t been reading a ton of posts lately and I feel like I’ve been missing out on all of y’alls incredible content in the blogging community, and I’m so sorry about that!

I’m going to start posting more specific content related to the categories on my blog. Right now, my categories are beauty, blogging, books, dance, fashion, journaling and art, lifestyle, music, travel, uncategorized, and writing.
I’m thinking about starting a new series about how young people can start blogs called Blogging Elementary! I started out when I was just nine, and blogging has helped me in so many ways. Most bloggers right now are teenagers (even at twelve I’m pretty young for a lifestyle blogger!), but I think we could encourage young bloggers to start creating and we can expand the blogging community, especially with doll blogging! What do you guys think?
I’m thinking about starting some other series, too – what do you guys think?

Hey daydreamers! It’s that time of year – the snow is falling (well, everywhere except Texas, where it’s 62 degrees as I write this), Christmas lights twinkle from the branches of the tree, and stockings are hung on the mantel as children daydream of Santa’s gifts on Christmas eve…
Sorry, I went into Christmas carol mode there. 😂 What I’m trying to say is, it’s December, and that means…the Emmie Awards are BACK, and better than ever!
If you’re new to any of my blogs, you probably don’t know what the Emmie Awards are. (Get it? Emmie? Emmy? Yes I’m a genius I know) Ever since 2017, on American Girl World I’ve hosted the annual Emmie Awards, which are awards given to the best bloggers of the year and YOU get to vote for and nominate them.
Here’s how it works: Basically, there’s 10 different categories that a blogger can win. (Like Best Photos, Best Collab, Blog of the Year, etc.) In the comments, you’ll nominate your favorite bloggers for each category!
Then, nominations will close on the 14th, and on the 15th of December I’ll post a survey where you can vote for the winners of each award! When voting closes on Christmas Day, the winners will be notified by email on the 26th and they’ll have the chance to write an acceptance speech for their award.
Finally, the winners will be announced on both American Girl World and Diary of a Daydreamer. Then we’ll have a giant blog party in the comments to celebrate the winners! Got it?

And lastly, the most prestigious and highly coveted award in the entire Emmies… the honorable title of Blog of the Year! This award is given to the blog that really shined this year. Their posts were on point and they connected with their audience, and showed incredible creativity. This award is a huge honor, so nominate your most favorite blog of all time for this one!
