About The Daydreamer

Hey there! I’m Hannah, the daydreamer behind this blog! I used to blog under the pen name Emmie.

I love helping people find their inner creativity, and spreading positivity and kindness. I believe that Jesus is God’s Son and my Savior – learn more here!

You’ll typically find me at the dance studio, where I spend pretty much all of my time, haha! I’m currently training in ballet (my main focus, and I’m en pointe) and contemporary, but I’d love to try jazz or tap sometime. 😉 If I’m not dancing or at school, I’m cheerleading, spending time with family and friends, reading, or working on this blog!

I’m 13 years old and I go to a university model school. Basically, I go to school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and complete assignments on my “home days” on Tuesday and Thursday, and I also have schoolwork over the weekends to turn in on Monday!

I’m a Hufflepuff, extrovert, ENFJ, and Enneagram 2 (with a 3-wing). Personality tests and things like that are super interesting to me. Basically, I need social interaction, words of approval, to help others, and for everyone to get along and be nice. 😉

I have type one diabetes – it’s an autoimmune disease where my pancreas no longer creates a hormone called insulin. Insulin is essential for processing carbs and managing blood sugar. Without it, you can’t survive. So I have to take a medicine version of insulin through a pump every time I eat and every time my blood sugar goes out-of-range, and I have to closely monitor my blood sugar. There’s no cure. Autoimmune diseases like type one weren’t part of God’s original, perfect design for the world, but he has worked through people like me in so many ways. I’ve been able to help so many people through having this disease, and I’ve grown so much closer to God.

I dislike math, running, watching most sports, shrimp (I cannot handle the squishiness, but I will literally eat anything besides shrimp), being late, getting a grade under 80, when people wear their masks below their nose (lol), going to the dentist (does anyone like this, though?), boredom, insomnia, and when it’s 80 degrees in November (but that’s Texas for ya), and silence.

I like the color pink (kind of obsessed), gold & rose gold, wearing jewelry, having music constantly playing in the background, taking relaxing baths and doing face masks, M&Ms, YouTube, iced coffees, texting friends, dance, cheerleading (mostly stunting and dancing, but I enjoy cheers and chants too!), making friendship bracelets, summer, “aesthetic” things, reading before bed, journaling, and hanging out with my friends.

That’s all I can think of for now! If you’re new here, I try to post every Saturday (recently I’ve been doing a bonus post on Wednesdays too), so check back then (or follow along so you never miss another post!)
