Recent Favorites! // Clothes, Music, Books, Skincare & More!

Hey daydreamers! I’m definitely cutting it close this week – I’m writing this at 12:00 on Saturday and I normally post at 10:00 on Saturday. Anyways, today’s post is some products, clothes, music, books, skincare, and more that I’ve been loving recently! Sort of like a shopping haul with things I recently got and love. I’ll link to as much as I can so you can check these items out, and this post isn’t sponsored!

Also, if you haven’t yet, make sure to check out the giveaway! It’s closing this Tuesday, and I’ll announce the winner on Wednesday, so make sure to enter before it closes! And remember, you can still use my code EMMIE20 for 20% off your order at TwoFifty Scrunchies through August!

Okay, let’s get onto the post! It’s pretty similar to last week, since I found a really good lighting spot for these kinds of posts, so sorry about that. Also, I’m not trying to brag about anything in any way!! I just really love these items and wanted to recommend them to you, and I’m super grateful to have them.

First, I got an academic planner for school this year! It’s SO pretty and aesthetic, and really functional. I like how there’s a monthly calendar for a schedule and weekly/daily for to-do! I’ve been using it a lot and really like it. I couldn’t find the exact cover, but here’s a similar one.

Then I got this adorable ombre waterbottle from Amazon! It’s sort of in the HydroFlask style but a different brand. The photo makes the ombre look a little weird, but in real life it’s super cute and pretty, plus I like the cap better than HydroFlask! It’s nice to have a cute waterbottle because it reminds me to hydrate. Plus it’s a lot cheaper than HydroFlask! Amazon, 40z in Sunset Glow, $25

Next I got a WetBrush! To shorten a long story, I couldn’t find my hairbrush at camp so I used my best friend’s, and she had a WetBrush and it literally felt like the brush wasn’t even there. So I got on when I got back, and I really like it! I’ll actually just sit there and brush my hair now because it’s totally pain-free. Amazon, $7.49

I also recently got this tank top from Old Navy! I’ve been looking for a shirt like this for awhile, so when I saw it in Old Navy I got it and it’s super comfy! I wore it in my Scrunchie Hairstyle Tutorial two weeks ago! Old Navy, $10-16

Next, the Keeper of the Lost Cities series!! KOTLC is a super-good book series that I’d reccomend to anyone ages 11-14, especially if you love fantasy, complex plots with a hint of humor, and super relatable characters. I’m on the 5th book, and it’s super good! And I’m *still* stuck between Fitzphie and Sokeefe, but I’m totally rooting for Bex/Diana, whichever Dex + Biana is called. Amazon, $43

I got my NLT Reflections Journaling Bible towards the beginning of quarantine, and I love, love, love it! This translation is amazing and super easy to read, and I love having the margins to write notes and journal verses. Should I do a post with some recent Bible journaling? Amazon, $28

Taylor Swift just randomly dropped a brand-new, 16-song album called folklore unlike anything I’ve heard before while I was at camp, and since then I’ve been obsessed with it! We got the CD to listen in the car, but it turned out to be explicit so we listen to the clean version on Apple Music. My favorite songs are cardigan, my tears ricochet, exile (feat. Bon Iver), mirrorball, seven, and epiphany, but my favorite is my tears ricochet! Just make sure you’re listening to the clean version, since 5 songs have strong language. https://www.amazon.com/folklore-Clean-Taylor-Swift/dp/B08DJ8T6HK

I’m OBSESSED with these jeans from Hippie Girl! They’re light-wash, high-waisted, and INSANELY comfortable – all of my favorite things! And no rips, so I can wear them to school on spirit days! Dillards, $26

For back-to-school, I needed new shoes, so I got some white checkered Vans and they fit perfectly, plus are super cute! Vans, $50 (I got them closer to 30 or 4,0 I think since there was some deal on kid’s shoes and my feet are so tiny I still fit in smaller sizes lol)

Finally, I definitely recommend this cleanser + moisturizer duo! It feels great on my skin and cleanses super well. It’s more for normal/dry skin, so I wouldn’t recommend it for oily or combination skin. Target, $11

Aaand that’s it for the post! Whew, that was super hard writing it all in one sitting, but I did it. Oh, and since you finished the post, you get a picture of my dog walking into the photo! 😋

awwwwwww

  1. This all looks really cool! I love KOTLC! Also, I was actually a bit disappointed by folklore? I don’t know, it’s just not really my style. I guess my favorite song off it would either be mirrorball or the 1, but it’s still probably my least favorite Taylor Swift album.

  2. I love this. My mom recently got me a bible like yours, but I didn’t know you could make it look so pretty. So I might start using my actual bible (and not just the app) and journal a little more.

Also recently I bout these Alabaster bibles for a friend’s birthday, and I think they are super neat. @alabaster_co if you want to check it out.
