what to ask for christmas/teen girl gift guide

Hey daydreamers! Guys, Red (Taylor’s Version) came out yesterday and this Swiftie is a mess. 😭 I’ll have to do a post reacting to each song like I did for evermore last year!

It’s only November (and, in my opinion, not technically Christmas yet because Thanksgiving hasn’t happened…) but everyone’s doing all their Christmas shopping early. Relatives are already asking for ideas, and if you’re like me, you’re stuck on what to ask for! I put together a huge list of some fun ideas to put on your Christmas wishlist (you can also check out last year’s post for even more ideas!). Plus, this can also serve as a gift guide for any teenage girl you’re shopping for!

This post also isn’t sponsored by any of the brands or products mentioned 😉 Let’s get right into the ideas!

A Chill Morning In My Life! (Ft. Skincare Routine)

Hey daydreamers! When I was thinking of what to post this week, I remembered that I really enjoyed making my A Day in My Life: Winter Break Edition! post for Blogmas and I thought it would be fun to show you guys a morning in my life of a Thursday homework day!

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I go to school and take all my classes. Then on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the weekend, I have assignments to complete that are due the next school day. These days are called “satellite classroom days”, but it’s easier to just call them homework or home days. 😛

Today I’m going to show y’all what a typical home-day morning looks like when I don’t have a whole lot of homework. 🙂 And if you like this post, don’t forget to check out my school morning routine! Let’s get right into it!

Spring Transition Outfit Ideas For March!

Hey daydreamers! Almost exactly a year ago, I did a March Lookbook post. I remember being super proud of that one. I thought it would be fun to kind of re-create that post, updating it with my current style and favorite pieces!

These outfits work well for March because it’s usually still cold enough to wear jeans and a sweatshirt if you feel like it, and on warmer days you can go with a short sleeve and jeans or long sleeve and shorts! Let’s get right into the outfits! This post isn’t sponsored (But hey, if Pura Vida or anyone wants to sponsor me, check out the collab page. 😛 JK!)

March Playlist & Aesthetics (Ft. Free Phone Wallpapers!)

Hey daydreamers! Can you believe that it’s March already?? A year ago this month, the world shut down, which is crazy to think about how everything’s been going on for so long. I had kind of a slump when it came to covid last month, but it feels like things are looking up now, which is super exciting.

Back in January I did a similar post to this where I shared a playlist filled with some of my favorite songs at the moment and a collage that matched the mood/aesthetic of the month and playlist. I liked that post so much that I ending up making playlists for February and March too! I thought I’d share the March playlist for this week’s post, along with an aesthetic collage that reflects the transition from winter to spring and contains a little motivation for your weekend. 🙂

I actually use Apple Music for listening to music, but a follower had an awesome idea to create a Spotify account to share the playlists so I don’t expose my Apple ID! So I kidnapped my mom’s Spotify account (with permission lol), so y’all can listen to the playlist on there. Oh, and I don’t own any of these pictures: they’re all from Pinterest. Let’s get into it!

[link to the playlist in case the embed thingy isn’t working]

I know that I literally say this in every single post, but this post was seriously so fun to make! It was super relaxing to curate the collage, and I’m lowkey obsessed with this playlist. Let me know some of your current favorite songs, because I listen to my monthly playlists 24/7 and love making them longer with new music I haven’t heard before!

Also, if you want to save any of these pins, check out my (recently updated) Pinterest account! Is anyone else excited about the new month?

THIS WEEK’S SHOUTOUT GOES TO Maggie Bryan from the nightingale! Her blog is amazing and she came up with the awesome idea to make a spotify playlist. Thank you so much for commenting!

What do you think of the playlist? Excited for the new month? Have you listened to any of these songs? Any music recommendations?

PS – I almost forgot, I turned the collage into a phone wallpaper as well! Feel free to use these on your phone but please give credit if you share. Thanks!

My School Morning Routine 2021!

Hey daydreamers! First off, I didn’t get a post up last week because of the crazy winter storms in Texas – our power was out for a day, so I decided to take the week off. This was the post I had planned for last week, but school was canceled last week. 😛 So I decided to move it to this week and I’m so excited for this post!

This is definitely a highly requested post, and I thought it would be super fun to show you guys what my morning routine looks like for 2021. Since I didn’t have time to take good-quality pics while still getting ready on time for school, I took most of these pictures after school, but this is still pretty accurate what my school mornings are usually like. Let’s get into it!

7:00 – I wake up from my alarm at 7:00, which is just enough time to get ready by 7:30 while getting the maximum amount of sleep possible. 😛 The first thing I do when I wake up is open my curtain and blinds and stare out the window for a little bit, trying to make sense of the extremely vivid dream I had and wondering why I’m up this early.

7:02 – I head into the bathroom to wash my face with this Neutrogena face wash and my super-soft skincare headband. This is more to wake myself up than to clean my skin, and it makes me feel refreshed and slightly more awake.

7:05 – After washing my face, I get dressed in my school uniforms. We have more of a dress code than a uniform, since not everyone has to wear school-issued items, but we have to have certain length skirts, shorts, or pants in khaki or navy with a white or navy polo shirt. Today I chose my comfy dry-fit khaki skirt with a dry-fit white polo and my cheer team jacket.

7:10 – Next, I do my makeup. Sometimes I wear a tiny bit of BareMinerals foundation, and then I put on my everyday concealer and blend with a beauty blender. I use the Maddie Ziegler Imagination Palate for eyeshadow. Next, I curl my lashes and apply mascara. Finally I fill in my brows with Beauty Concept Eyebrow Tint (which is weirdly dirt for some reason, sorry lol).

7:18 – After that, I put on my watch and jewelry. Today I’m wearing some rose-gold bar earrings from this Amazon earrings pack and my favorite necklace from Kendra Scott.

7:20 – I put a bagel in the toaster and gathered all my stuff by the door while I was waiting.

7:25 – I had a really good bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, and it was super filling!

7:29 – I brushed my teeth, put on shoes and headed out the door.

7:31 – Leave for school!

This post was so fun to make! Let me know any future post ideas or requests down below, since I’m planning out pots for March! 😉 Thanks for reading and I’ll see ya next week!

THIS WEEK’S SHOUTOUT GOES TO amber from dancing for the holy one! Thanks for fllowing and commenting!
